The Snakemaster and his Rocky Boots

The Snakemaster and his Rocky Boots

folks this is an Eastern diamondback
rattlesnake what a great specimen this is absolutely a wonderful find this is
just incredible and look at that snake the tongue is coming out what the snake
is trying to do is pick up my scent it’s trying to figure out what is this that’s
approaching me it’s got to be brave and she’s absolutely right I’ll tell you but
she hadn’t struck yet so that’s good she hasn’t struck yet here we go look at
this snake look at this snake that is a wonderful specimen look how high she’s
got that head position she is going to defend herself and this is her territory
and she said hey you’re in my space and you get inside of it I’d like to examine
this like a little bit better just bear with me a second now I’ve got to get in
the right position and we don’t want to hurt this snake we don’t want it to hurt
itself so let me see if I can’t sneak over here right here and I couldn’t do
this I didn’t have these tools and I’m gonna see if I can pick this snake up
but I don’t want the snake to hurt itself here we go right here and now we
got a hold of the snake oh boy I’ll tell you what when you get to this point look
at the size of this look at this at least and diamondback rattlesnake this
is North America’s most feared snakes because look at the size of that head
this snake carries eight hundred and fifty milligrams of venom and there’s no
doubt in my mind that this snake has got any bit of it look how puffy that here
it is the villain pouches are right behind the eye and look at that tongue
coming out he’s trying to pick up scent from you know trying to realize what has
got ahold of me why in the world nothing supposed to be able to pick me up like
this look at the size of this Lake and we’re not hurting the snake by the way
we can’t hold it long enough to hurt it my hand will cramp I want to just see if
we can get the size of that head look at that
this is an incredible specimen there’s a seven eight nine ten buttons each time
the snake shed it’ll-it’ll create another button on the tail I want you to
look at it this is an absolute monster I wouldn’t advise anybody in the wild to
do what I’m doing right now you just don’t know I’m used to handling
these snakes this is a great specimen I’m gonna put it down and we’ll observe
it a little bit folks Eastern diamondback rattlesnake long fangs big
head and that head is so puffy because it’s got 850 milligrams of venom this
would be a nasty bite if this snake bit me something’s got to come off because
it would be very very painful now and I’ll take what she is just relaxed right
now she’s hoping that I’ll relax but it’s not gonna happen this is a great
specimen and a wonderful fine this morning let’s put this leg down we’ll go
see if we can find a lower now to be careful on the release well there you go
hey boy I had it look at that now look at that you’re asking for it when that
snake comes around like that that snake is telling you that hey I’m in a
defensive mode and you get in my space and I’m gonna make it happen I’ll tell
you it’s a good thing we got those rocky boots on this morning look at that look
at her look at us look at her look at her that’s enough for me thank goodness
we got these boots on let’s go find us another snake
