Stop And Savor | Two Minute Mindsets by Nathan Czubaj (Shoe-Buy)

(upbeat music) – I’m really not much of a sweets person. But I do have to admit that
I have an ice cream weakness. The other day I was at a
fancy new ice cream shop, and I ordered the chocolate, zucchini bread flavored single scoop. The first bite was amazing. I was in bliss. Then I continue to eat
it and talk to my friend within a few minutes, I was
finishing the last bite. I didn’t realize it. Then I asked myself, did
i enjoy the middle bites as much as the first and the last? Where those calories worth it if I can’t remember the experience? Life is like an hourglass. It can be lived and appreciated
in the narrow passage between the future and the past. You can’t live in the
yesterday’s or tomorrow’s. We’ve heard this our whole lives, but to live in the present is really hard. I think the goal isn’t to
purely live in the present but it would benefit us, to spend a few more
seconds there every day. You can do this by reminding yourself when little moments of bliss happen and just pause and take them in. The present is where we
can experience the most joy and taste every layer of flavor, the chocolate zucchini
bread ice cream gives us. (upbeat music) Hey, wait, wait!
