LOS MEJORES TACOS DE TIJUANA – La Cooquette

Warning: Don’t watch this video on an empty stomach! Hello and welcome again to La Cooquette For a type of “taco” pilgrimage The most delicious stroll you could imagine This adventure is sponsored by Keds And today I’m wearing one of their double-decker styles They are very versatile And comfortable Perfect because we will walk a lot And I will show you my favorite “taquerias” in Tijuana Will you join me? Let’s do our first stop We are at one of the most famous “Taquerias” in Tijuana It’s so famous it doesn’t even need a signboard Because everybody knows it It’s an institution We’re in “Mazateño” seafood We all have a friend who doesn’t like fish That is because they haven’t visited this magical place, where the harvest of the sea is transformed into succulent neighborhood delicacies, combining perfectly with corn tortillas and cheese… Lots of cheese Here you can ask for Clamatos, ceviches, fish broth, but without a doubt, the kings of the menu are the octopus and shrimp tacos It’s time to eat this octopus taco It’s one of my favorites It’s incredible Not only because the octopus consistency is crunchy But because the flavor it has… It’s spicy I can’t guess what chili peppers they used Or the ingredients they added But everything goes perfect together And the cheese they use helps with the spiciness Friends, I ordered the “Mazateña” Which is spicy shrimp And indeed, it’s spicy I have to tell you, One of the exciting parts about coming here It’s you never know how spicy tacos are going to be Depends a lot on the day It’s part of the intrigue Today was one of those days That my weak European palate is feeling a lot We are at another “taqueria” We are in “Taqualli” Which comes from the word “quauhtaqualli” From the Aztec language, From which derives the word “taco” That’s some trivia and I’m starving so let’s eat Meat 100% Rib Eye After those delicious fish tacos, we get into the unique world of meat tacos And just not any meat, but of high quality cuts like the ribeye they proudly prepare here But beyond its premium meat, its tasty beans, and of course their freshly made warm tortillas, the hallmark of Taqualli are these exquisite marrows Here’s our exemplary This is their specialty They serve you the marrow So you add it to the taco Which gives it more flavor This taco is huge So enjoy! This taco is delicious But the marrow adds another level of flavor Because let’s face it, the flavor is in the taco’s grease Mmm… For those who are not familiar with this delicacy, the marrow is the bone marrow of the largest beef bones These are cooked on fire until melted and transformed into a delicious jelly Many anthropologists claim that the marrow is the first animal tissue that man began to consume, since the bones of the animals were the only thing left after predators and scavengers filled their bellies Thousands of years later, the marrow is launching strongly into urban kitchen stardom through proposals such as Taqualli But who better to talk to you about marrow Than its biggest fan My husband who’s behind the camera Friends, what I love about this It’s that they give you extra tortillas In case you want to make yourself a marrow taco And that’s what we’re doing here Obviously don’t do this often because it’s pure fat They also gave us this salsa Made with chili peppers and beer It’s homemade, let’s try it I love the marrow taste because it’s between the broth And the meat, it has that “umami” Sorry if I sound pretentious But here I think I’m using the “umami” term correctly This is pure “umami” Obviously we love traditional tacos But sometimes you have to get out of your comfort zone And try new proposals Exotic, bolder And for that we came to “Tras Horizonte” Upon entering this establishment one passes in front of this super grill completed with a waterfall and special effects In it, tortillas are roasted and peppers are grilled, awakening the appetite of any mortal Tras Horizonte sports a colorful and cozy atmosphere, in keeping with its fun and original gastronomic proposal The menu of this place delves into Mexican culinary traditions, giving rise to tacos as atypical as tasty This taco is called “mala costra” It’s a taco with impressive levels of flavor It has salsa A serrano pepper and pumpkin seeds cream And this, ladies and gentlemen, It’s a cheese crust And under it has a surprise A yellow chili pepper filled with marlin Don’t judge me but this has to be eaten with a fork Come to me “mala costra” This is really good Not only because you know I’m a cheese lover But because the combination of flavors Smokey because of the marlin And the peanut flavors Go perfectly together And you would think it’s spicy With so many chili peppers in it Nooo, it’s delicious And it isn’t spicy This one is called “gringo on vacations” Because this is the skin color Gringos get when they come Sunbathe in beaches around here And this one’s really good So let´s dig in with hands and all It’s spectacular I didn’t expect less And I love what they do here in Mexico They grill and burn chili peppers And they stuff them with things inside Besides looking delicious It gives it a nice touch, you can’t imagine While I digest those tacos with a nice stroll, let me tell you a little more about Keds, the sponsor of this tasty video I love that with Keds I feel my feet pampered and it is that Keds makes styles especially thinking about women, offering a lot of variety of sizes and widths The double-decker Keds that I use come in several styles like this other leopard print Apart from how cushioned and comfortable they are for my taco journey, I like that they are versatile and I can use them day and night, or to see how the day turns into night, with this beautiful sunset in Playas de Tijuana, where we will find our next “taqueria” After that delicious stroll on the beach We love eating “asada” tacos here At “taqueria El Francés” So let’s see how delicious they are We have “tacos”, “mulitas”, “Vampiros”, “quesadillas” I’ll eat all that This “taqueria” has the unconditional affection of the neighbors of Playas de Tijuana, and it is not difficult to see why It is the perfect place to fill the belly after an afternoon of beach activity Seeing a “taqueria” of these dimensions work has something magical The orders follow one another quickly, and tacos of all types are prepared with verve and love to satisfy the guests Two adobada quesadillas If you arrive here, many options can seduce you, from the fried guts on the disk, the tasty “suadero”, the amazing spinning top of “adobada” or “pastor”, or the tender diced tongue But without a doubt, the star taco of this establishment is the asada taco The grill is always in full activity to meet the great demand of this popular offer At first sight, you can tell it’s a good taco Because it’s well loaded and the tortilla holds together So let’s dig in This meat is delicious You can tell it comes directly from the grill What I love is that it doesn’t just have The typical sauce or the guacamole They add to tacos but it also has beans Amazing combination That was exquisite But we haven’t tried the famous “adobada” tacos yet And I know the perfect place to do it So come with me We’re finally at our last “taqueria” Last but not least Actually this was the first “taqueria” We tried when we got to Tijuana Our friend Guzzi brought us And we love it since then, it’s one of my favorites So I brought you here to “Las Tres Salsas” To try the delicious “adobada” tacos This “taqueria” is located in a block that brings six taquerías together This taco shop conglomerate receives the name of “Ahumaderas” (Smokers), and you see why… It is impossible to eat here without taking home the rich smell of mesquite and grilled meat “Las Tres Salsas” is an old-fashioned “taqueria”, where diners of all conditions sit side by side to enjoy the succulent hot tacos on the street “Las Tres Salsas” is that reliable “taqueria” that you can count on at very late hours of the night after a long day My favorite taco here is marinated pork, or “al pastor”, as they call it in many parts of Mexico A good tip is that if you come here and you’re cold, You can come close to the spinning top And you can get warm This is the best seat in the house to enjoy good tacos These tacos are distant relatives of Turkish kebab, although here the lamb is replaced by delicious pork marinated in a paste of chili peppers, vinegar, achiote, pepper, pineapple, onion and garlic among many other ingredients Look how well assorted it is It has delicious salsa It has enough meat to even make two tacos Since the first day I tried these They taste just as good It’s that flavor they add and the love they put into it They have something it makes them delicious Of course, people don’t just eat “adobada”, and in this taqueria they also offer a bit more risky cuts for the diners However, those cuts are my husband’s favorites Friends, look at that soft stewed meat Which is the tongue, it’s one of the many typical cuts You can find at a genuine street “taqueria” You can also get head, eyes, brain, Those are cuts you have to try Until you haven’t tried all that You can’t say you like tacos Because that’s where the magic is I assure you Okay friends, that’s all I’m really full Those are my five favorite “taquerias” in Tijuana But if you have any other I didn’t mention Or that I don’t know yet Leave them in a comment down below Thank you Keds for sponsoring this video For helping us get from one “taqueria” to another We walked a lot, as you can see But I don’t feel anything My shoes are super comfy That helped a lot to continue our taco adventure If you’re interested in the style of shoes you saw Or any other Keds, you can find them at Shoe Carnival I will leave the link in the description Okay friends, that’s it for today Let’s rest
