Hey Volleyball-Fans! Todays review is about the new Adidas Crazyflight volleyball shoe! Enjoy! 1. The new colours There are less colours than the old model had, but I like the fresh new style. The grey/orange shoe is the men’s model. The lightblue/orange one is the women’s shoe. 2. Weight & Fitting The men´s shoe is EU size 44 weights 358g. This is a medium weight for volleyball shoes, similar to an Asics Netburner FF. The women’s shoe in EU size 40 weights 310g The older Crazyflights were only available as unisex-shoes. The 2020 Adidas Crazyflight comes with different versions for men & women. The shoe fits to normal feet, the women´s version is slightly thinner. Nice to know: You can take out the insole to use special ones you like more. 3. Upper material There is some new stuff about the upper material: 1. Additional TPU-stripes (orange) that make the upper stronger. 2. EVA Stability Cage for a lot more lateral stability! (Main upgrade compared to older Crazyflights) The midsole is higher and stronger… …for a perfect lateral stability! The rest of the upper is a stretchy mesh material. It fits nicely to your feet and has a good regulation of heat. 4. Damping & Grip The 2020 Crazyflight uses the Boost-Technology from Adidas. It has been used for some years now and it´s really good. It feels really smooth. The structure of the sole also is new and gives you a nice grip pushing yourself to different directions. I also like this additional topping (orange). You get more grip from it while performing a volleyball approach. 5. Recommendation The Adidas Crazyflight is an allround volleyball shoe! It´s between the categories “speed-shoe” and “power-shoe”. It has medium weight, a smooth damping and a good grip. I like the shoe especially for diagonal hitters and outside hitters, because of the Boost-Technology. If you are e.g. a libero, looking for a harder damping and direct feedback of the shoe, than you should have a look at the Adidas Bounce 3 or the Adidas Counterblast. These shoes might be better for you then. I hope you enjoyed the video! Please give us a thumbs up and subscribe for more videos about volleyball equipment!
